From Motorway M1, exit at Junction 28 (Derbyshire Dales).
1. At junction 28, take the A38 exit to Mansfield/Matlock go 0.3 mi
2. At the roundabout, take the exit onto A38 towards Derby go 5.6 mi
3.Take the Nottingham A610 / Ripley B6441 ramp go 0.2 mi
4. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A610 (Ambergate / Matlock) go 3.2 mi
5. Turn right onto Matlock Rd/A6 - Continue to follow A6 go 6.0 mi
Look out for Masson Mills on the right after this you will come into South Parade. A large building on the right, the Pavilion is also the Tourist Information Centre and Hodgkinson's is approx 200 yards further on the left. Look out for the large oval sign outside the hotel.
Directions from A6
The hotel is situated on the corner of South Parade (A6) and Waterloo Road.
If travelling on the A6 from Derby look out for the New Bath hotel on the left as you enter Matlock Bath , then the Pavilion, a large building with a car park on the right. Hodgkinson's is approx 200 yards further on the left hand side.
If travelling from Matlock on the A6, continue on this road for approx 1 1/2 miles, when you will pass the Heights of Abraham cable cars on the left, and a row of shops and cafes. Look out for the Aquarium on the right, Hodgkinson's is approx 100 yards further on, on the corner of South Parade and Waterloo Rd.
From London and the North:Trains from London via Derby run frequently throughout the day. Journey time: 2 1/2 hours. Midland Main Line to Derby, then change for East Midlands Trains to Matlock Bath.
From further afield
The closest Airport is East Midlands and from there if you are hiring a car get on the M1 northbound and follow M1 directions shown above. To use Public transportation from East Midlands you can use the Skylink bus to Derby train station and then East Midlands train to Matlock Bath.
From London Heathrow you can hire a car and take the M25 counter clockwise to the M1 northbound and then follow M1 directions above.
If you wish to use the train system then you will need to get St. Pancras in London (see above).
By coach use National Express to Derby and then either train or bus (see above).
